Transitional Housing Project: “Blossom Residence” at Cheung Wing Road, Tsuen Wan

Project Overview

The “Blossom Residence” transitional housing project was completed in September 2023. Located at 25 Cheong Wing Road, Tsuen Wan, it is operated by Society for Community Organization (SoCO). The four-story building provides a total of 220 units, including units for 1- to 5-person households and barrier-free units. Units for 1-2 persons measure approximately 150 square feet and feature separate kitchen and bathroom facilities.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be legal residents of Hong Kong aged 18 or above and meet the following criteria:

Category A Applicants (Priority)）
  • Have been on the public housing waiting list for at least three years
Category B Applicants
  • Have been on the public housing waiting list for less than three years but have urgent housing needs

Monthly rent

Non-CSSA Households
  • Based on approximately 25% of the household’s total monthly income, the minimum monthly rent for a one-person household is HK$2,600.
CSSA Households
  • Based on the maximum amount of the CSSA Scheme Rent Allowance.
  • Tenants are exempt from paying management fees and rates. The operating organization and tenants each bear half of the stamp duty. Tenants are responsible for their actual utility expenses.

How to Get to “Blossom Residence”

(1)    From Kwai Hing Station Exit A, walk approximately 15 minutes to Blossom Residence

(2)    Transfer at Exit A of Kwai Fong Station to buses (31M, 36M, 235M), alight at Cheung Wing Road Station, then walk to Blossom Residence

(3)    Take any bus from various districts to Cheung Wing Road Station <near Blossom Residence (Sun Fung Centre) or opposite Blossom Residence (Tung Chun Company)>, then walk to Blossom Residence
