Community Organizer (Inadequately-housed households)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct community work for marginalized groups at urban slums;
  • Organize the low-income households for policy and service reform;
  • Conduct policy research to identify community needs;
  • Provide emergent direct service for individuals and families in need.

 

Requirements:

  • Holder of Bachelor Degree and Diploma of any discipline, Degree or Diploma holder of social science and social policy preferred;
  • Experience on conducting policy research and policy analysis;
  • Commit to policy advocacy and serve the underprivileged with critical mind and passion;
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin preferred;
  • Ability to work under pressure; good team-work spirit;
  • Registered Social Worker preferred;
  • Understand and support the mission of SoCO.

Community Organizer (Transitonal social housing services – Yau Tsim Mong districts)

 

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree holder of Social Work, or holder of Higher Diploma of Social Work;
  • Registered Social Worker;
  • Understand and support the mission of SoCO;
  • Commit to policy advocacy and serve the underprivileged with critical mind and passion;
  • Good research and analytical skills;
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin preferred;
  • Ability to work under pressure; good team-work spirit;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team;
  • Good computer skills and familiar with office software;
  • Duties on Saturdays and occasionally on Sundays required.
