Flag Day in Kowloon District, July 24, 2024 (Wednesday)

Volunteer Recruitment

The Society for Community Organization (SoCO) is a non-profit organization established in 1971, dedicated to assisting marginalized communities. SoCO’s mission is to uphold the rights of grassroots citizens and promote social equity and justice. Through service and advocacy work, we are committed to addressing social issues such as poverty, housing problems, and educational inequality. We collaborate with different communities to provide support and resources to those most in need. Our work includes providing emergency assistance, advocating for social policy reform, conducting educational programs, and organizing community actions.

We will uphold the three principles of “equality for all,” “advocacy for civil rights,” and “practicing justice,” and continue to stand in solidarity with marginalized communities in the days to come. We hope that more like-minded individuals will join hands to defend human rights and the rule of law, collectively forging a society of compassion and justice.

Our organization has been approved by the Social Welfare Department to hold a flag-selling fundraising event in the Kowloon District on July 24, 2024 (Wednesday). The proceeds will be used to serve underprivileged children from low-income families and to promote local civil rights education work.

We sincerely invite you to participate in SoCO’s Flag Day in the Kowloon District on July 24, 2024 (Wednesday) and donate to support our cause.

Our vision is to become a strong force in society advocating for the rights of marginalized groups. Through providing support services, advocating for fair policies, organizing social actions, and other means, we aim to amplify their voices. We will continue to stand in solidarity with grassroots communities, striving to promote social equity and justice, and committed to bridging the wealth gap to achieve the societal ideal of equality for all.

Through SoCO’s online flag-selling fundraising event, we hope to gather more strength and engage more people in our cause. We will use these donations to support underprivileged children from low-income families, provide educational resources and basic life assistance, and promote local civil rights education work to empower more individuals to understand their rights and courageously pursue fairness and justice.

We look forward to working hand in hand with you to build a warmer and more equitable society. Let’s make joint efforts to bring hope and change to marginalized communities.
