We are now looking for the committed person for the following post:

Post

Community Organizer

 

  • Conduct community work at urban slums
  • Provide casework and social services for persons-in-recovery, the homeless and other marginalized groups at urban slums
  • Conduct policy research to identify community needs
  • Organize the persons-in-recovery for policy and service reform
  • Provide emergent direct service for individuals & families in need

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree holder of any discipline, or holder of Higher Diploma of Social Work;
  • Registered Social Worker preferred;
  • Commit to policy advocacy and serve the underprivileged with critical mind and passion;
  • Experience of serving the persons-in-recovery, the homeless and other marginalized groups preferred;
  • Experience on conducting policy research and policy analysis;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Good team-work spirit;
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin preferred;
  • Understand and support the mission of SoCO;
  • Duties on Saturdays and occasionally on Sundays required.
