Community Organizer
(Inadequately-housed & social housing households)
- conduct community work at urban slums;
- organize the low-income and inadequately housed households for policy & service reform;
- provide emergent direct service for individuals and families in need and other marginalized groups;
- please state the target community whom you would like to serve in your application.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree holder of any discipline, or holder of Diploma of Social Work; Registered Social Worker preferred; commit to policy advocacy and serve the underprivileged with critical mind and passion; ability to work under pressure; good team-work spirit; understand and support the mission of SoCO; duties on Saturdays and occasionally on Sundays required.

Post II Program Worker
(Homeless people and other marginalized groups)
Responsibilities:
- Assist to conduct community work for the homeless people at urban slums;
- Assist to the homeless people for policy reform;
- Assist to conduct policy research to identify community needs;
- Assist to provide social services and other supporting services at homeless shelter;
- Assist to provide emergent direct service for the homeless people in need;
- Assist to handle administrative work and provide clerical support for the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree holder of any discipline, degree holder of social science preferred;
- Commit to policy advocacy and serve the underprivileged with critical mind and passion;
- Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin preferred;
- Ability to work under pressure; good team-work spirit;
- Understand and support the mission of SoCO;
- Ability to work independently and in a team;
- Participate outreaching work for marginalized groups.

Post III Program Worker
(Transitional Housing)
Responsibilities:
Assist to conduct community work for transitional social housing and sub-divided flats; assist to provide direct services to the transitional social housing tenants; assist to build up community network for the tenants; assist tenants foster mutual support among residents of Transitional Housing and cultivate their sense of belonging; assist tenants tackle poverty with interventions focused on employment, financial literacy, health and wellbeing, and social capital building; assist tenants utilize the capacity-building fund and community resources to strengthen the motivation, employability, and resilience of families; assist tenants develop exit plans with families who are scheduled to leave Transitional Housing.
Requirements:
Holder of Bachelor Degree and Diploma of any discipline, Degree or Diploma holder of social science preferred; commit to serve the underprivileged; duties on Saturdays and occasionally on Sundays required.
